Air Change Group - Air Change PL and Air Change Manufacturing PL The Australian owned Air Change group produces a range of outdoor air heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems incorporating enthalpy and sensible air to air heat exchangers for energy efficiency. See The Technology.
The company has internationally patented the heat exchangers and product applications enthalpy and sensible heat exchangers to pre-condition up to 100% outdoor air prior to entering the refrigeration system. The efficient management of the outdoor air load reduces air conditioning plant size and improves indoor air quality.
History In 2000, Air Change Pty Ltd commenced trading to design, manufacture and commercialise a range of air-to-air counterflow heat exchangers to improve indoor air quality and reduce energy.   Founding Directors are MD, John Urch, the inventor of the heat exchange technology, Paul Smit and Marilyn Urch.

Since 2001, a comprehensive range of energy efficient packaged HVAC products have been developed in-house and commercialised. The Air Change units have been well received by industry, due to the simplicity of combining indoor air quality and energy efficiency, all in one packaged unit.   From 2003 to 2007, Air Change won many awards for energy efficiency and product design, including winning SEDA awards 2002 and 2003, AIRAH Qld winner for the Schoolroom Ventilator product, and AIRAH 2007 winner for the Rooftop Package unit. See Awards.   The company has relocated three times from 2000 to 2006 triggered by growth. The company is adequately equipped to handle projects of large size and quantity. The unique automated heat exchanger assembly unit is an innovative highlight of the company’s production capabilities. The Air Change factory has a floor space of 3,600m2 and is located approximately 20 minutes south of Sydney Airport.

As of the 1st November 2006, the manufacturing and sales arms of Air Change Pty Ltd was transferred to a new fully owned subsidiary company called Air Change Manufacturing Pty Ltd.
In 2008 Mr. Steve Atherton was appointed as CEO of the Air Change Group to manage the growth of the company as energy efficiency becomes imperative in our carbon constrained world.  See the Air Change management team at The People
Employment has grown from 2 in 2000 to around 50, Australia wide in 2009. The company has representation all over Australia with company offices and distributors, and international distribution in Asia Pacific regions.
The Air Change Group strongly supports the drive for sustainability in the building industry and is proud to be an active member of the Green Building Council of Australia, Property Council of Australia and the Australian Technology Showcase.
