 The NSW Shadow Minister for Local Government, Housing and Water Utilities, Mr. Chris Hartcher, Local Cronulla Member, Malcolm Kerr, and visiting German Political Intern Johan Kulawik, toured Air Change on May 22nd 2007 to view the inbuilt heat recovery, air conditioning technology making inroads into the Australian and International markets.

John Urch, MD of Air Change gave the NSW Members of Parliament and German visitor, a tour of the factory and inspected various units currently in production. David Gartrell, National Sales Manager gave the visitors an overview of Air Change Heat Recovery Technology and the potential energy savings.
Demand for Air Change’s HVAC products has increased dramatically along with increased manufacturing of other “Green” products in the Australian marketplace. Currently, there is worldwide recognition that energy saving products are imperative for an overall reduction in world greenhouse gas emissions.
Interest in Air Change products has come from many parts of the world, with exports to Fiji, Indonesia, New Zealand, India and East Timor. Although Air Change technology was first developed and patented in Australia, it has been internationally patented in USA and China with pending patents in Europe, Canada, India and Korea.
The visiting MP's were impressed with the direction taken by Air Change, the energy savings with current product range and the potential of future developments. With an expanding export market along with general production, Air Change currently employ 24 staff including 2 apprentices with plans to hire more staff in the near future. The visitors were also impressed and excited with the new developments within Air Change’s Research and Development Department that could potentially solve pressing environmental issues. |
