Air Change Employee's Marathon Effort Back |

Ashley Hayat, Victorian Sales Engineer for Air Change has a passion for mountain bike riding. He recently took part in the 2009 Australian Solo 24 Hour MTB Championships held in Majura, ACT on the Easter weekend of 11th & 12th April.

This annual event is organised by Canberra Off-Road Cyclists (CORC) which is the largest mountain bike club in Australia established in 1988. Competitors undertook a gruelling challenge with the winner of the event determined by the most laps ridden within a 24 hour period.

Ashley awarded 2nd place in 30-34 Age Category
Ashley finished 6th overall and was placed 2nd in his age group category from a field of 73 starters. A lap distance was approximately 9 km of differing terrain with Hayat having completed 39 laps. Air Change wishes Ashley continued success and congratulates him on his marathon effort of riding 351 kilometres in a 24 hour period.
